Berlin's Senator for Economics visits Jonas & Redmann

The Berlin Senator for Economics, Technology and Women's Issues, Harald Wolf, and Christian Amsinck, Chief Executive Officer of the Confederation of Employers and Business Associations in Berlin and Brandenburg (UVB), visited Jonas & Redmann in the run-up to the 3rd Berlin Economic Conference "green economy". During a tour through the Jonas & Redmann production facility in the course of their visit on October 14, 2009, Mr. Wolf and Mr. Amsinck were informed about innovation and technical progress in the automation of solar cell production. The founders and managing directors, Stefan Jonas and Lutz Redmann, personally introduced the company.

Jonas & Redmann was highlighted as an outstanding example for the competitiveness and innovative strength of the Berlin industrial sector. In this year alone, Jonas & Redmann has built 200 automation systems for producers of crystalline silicon solar cells in Taiwan. Although today a large portion of the turnover is already generated abroad, the company relies on the Berlin location out of conviction. For instance, 600 employees here design and produce automation solutions for solar cell production worldwide.
